Stockholm’s history

Collection

Stockholm takes its name from the capital of Sweden, and the village's beginnings are Swedish too. Swedish settlers founded the community in the 1880s. A commemorative plaque dated July 1, 1995, credits A. J. Stenberg and his wife Svea with naming it.
